Green Indonesia

I would like to dedicate this article to my Green journey to Bali, Indonesia. In my opinion, it is possible to describe it as a deep full immersion in a green world: beautiful and pristine landscape, clean air, transparent water, polite and nature lover native persons.

As an Environmental Advisor my attention has been focused on sustainable activities offered from this land.

In this connection, it was an essential visit to the famous Green School, a community of learners making our world sustainable.

Close your eyes  and picture a school without walls, a campus which ignites the senses and the natural curiosity of children for all ages, a place where innovation, creativity, uncontaminated nature and learning flourish.

Learning by hearing deep and meaningful discussions, children experience daily growth as a whole person.

Welcome to your first glimpse of Green School. From wherever you are in the world, I invite you to explore what Green School offers to students, their families, the community and the world.

Their view is living a sustainable lifestyle. It means making process of learning by doing and remembering what we once knew and have forgotten over many generations. Many things need to change in order to lead a lifestyle that is more integrated with the natural system. The most important change that can lead to living an authentically sustainable life is a change in our mindset and habit patterns. This philosophy and approach to living our journey is the guiding compass that keeps us heading toward our destination of true sustainability.

The Green School is characterized by:

  • Solar Panel
  • Mini Hydro Vortex
  • Water Filtration System
  • Waste Management Centre
  • Compost Station
  • Aquaphonics Centre
  • Bio bus

Main values of this magic place are: Integrity, Responsibility, Empathy, Sustainability, Peace, Equity, Community, Trust.

The bamboo palace inspires open minds, open hearts and great love of surroundings.

I never imaginated there was a place like this on this earth!

Another great green experience I had was the Bali Eco ciclyng tour.  I rode through lush plantations full of Balinese staples and cash crops, small villages and lush rice paddy panoramas. During the ride I realized there is a no impact project that allow tourists the possibility to take a look of the place while keeping an high air quality standard.

I was very pleased that I had the chance to see the beautiful scenery in a peaceful way. The riding was not difficult, the local food great, the guides the best.

I really recommed this tour to everyone!
